Lia will be one of the British artists exhibiting at the Florence Biennale in December 2003. These three triptychs represent three bardos - the 'in-between' stages of life and death recognised in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and particularly associated with the Bardo Th�dol, the 'Tibetan Book of the Dead'.
From left to right, they are the Dhyana Bardo, the Rebirth Bardo, and the Dream Bardo.
